Finally, Some Colorado Sunshine!

We were at Ella's doctor's appointment a few weeks back, when the doctor was telling Ella that she should be a doctor when she grows up.  Ella corrected her quickly and said she wanted to be a Veternarian instead.  Ella loves animals of all shapes and sizes and I think she'd be a great Vet.  She is so caring with all our pets.

Ella also says she wants to be an artist and often asks if she can do both.  Well, of course I tell her!

Climb that sofa to a bunny party!  Yes, bunny party's still exist in our home.  Bunny has to be over 150 by now, with as many birthday's as he has had.  Ella wanted to capture all of Bunny's friends in this birthday photo shoot.  Ella even dressed up for the occassion!

Pretend cake, games, books, and pancakes for the kids lunch made it all official.  Bunny Marie Felix (Ella's stuffed bunny), is yet another year older.

Sitting down to lunch this week, we noticed the dogs playing with something fluttering around on the deck.  Upon closer inspection, we found this beautiful butterfly.  Ella was so excited to see a butterfly up close.  Very unique, Ella named her Ruby.

The weather has peaked around Colorado, reaching almost 80 degrees now.  Ella and I ran over to Home Depot and completed the kids sandbox on Thursday.  She was so excited to get out all her old sand toys and jumped right in .  Eric had his first experience in the sand box and loved it!  Of course, one of his first reactions was to eat the sand.  However, he quickly is learning all the fun things you can do with sand too.

We love being in Colorado and in the Pinery.  A little bit of urban/city life, with a mountain feel.  A typical walk around the neighborhood or even just dining on our deck, we often see the wildlife just walking by.  This picture was taken on our walk today, the kids and I were just a few feet from this beautiful doe.
